From onboarding to final placement, here's a step-by-step look at how NP clinical placements work with MatchNP.
MatchNP combines deep clinical expertise with firsthand experience navigating NP placements to make the process faster, easier, and far less stressful. You won't pay anything until we've matched you with a preceptor who fits your specific needs.
STEP 01
Upload your resume and licenses, and tell us what you're looking for: location, specialties, hours, and anything else we should know. MatchNP's proprietary algorithm will find a quality preceptor match, personally finalized for a precise fit, typically within 24–48 hours.
STEP 02
We'll send you the basic rotation information to confirm a good fit. The preceptor then receives a request to confirm. Once a student and provider have both accepted the match, you'll complete a service agreement and pay a $500 refundable deposit to officially book the rotation. (This is not an additional fee — it will be applied to your final invoice.)
STEP 03
We complete all required paperwork and facilitate an introduction to your preceptor. You'll agree on a schedule together and begin your rotation! If you have any questions before, during, or after placement, please reach out — we are here to support you every step of the way.

It takes less than 5 minutes — simply fill out some basic details, upload your resume, license, and board certifications, and tell us your schedule and preferences. Your information will not be shared with students until you approve a match.
STEP 02
MatchNP's proprietary algorithm coupled with an expert personal review process ensures a quality match tailored to your schedule and preferences. When we find the right student for your clinical placement, you'll have the opportunity to review their MatchNP profile and resume, along with an estimated honorarium, before you accept the match.
STEP 03
We complete all required paperwork and facilitate an introduction. You'll agree on a schedule together and get started. Should anything come up, we are available before, during, and after each placement to offer support.

We will work together to finalize an agreement based on your preferred placement model, preferences and requirements for clinical placements. We handle all the necessary paperwork to establish site affiliation agreements with vetted preceptors, so you know your students are getting the best clinical experience and mentorship.

Built specifically for NP matching, our proprietary algorithm quickly and carefully matches students with experienced preceptors based on their schedules and specialties. Help your students stay on track with reliable, high-quality placements throughout the program, so they can move forward with confidence and graduate on time.
Most MatchNP students receive their preceptor match within 24–48 hours, depending on specialty, location, and requirements. MatchNP's proprietary algorithm blends advanced matching technology with expert, hands-on review to ensure a precise fit.
